Our Bannock Recipe

Because alot of our guests ask for it and we ALWAYS have home baked bannock and hot chocolate with our tours, here is the recipe if you’d like to make it yourself!


Wapusk Bannock Recipe

Dry Ingredients:

6 cups Flour

1/3 cup Sugar

1/2 tsp Salt

3 Tbsp Baking Powder

1 cup Raisins (optional)


Wet Ingredients:

1/2 cup Lard (melted)

2-1/2 cup water (warm)


Mix dry ingredients and make a well. Add liquid ingredients – mix and knead. Roll the dough flat and poke with a fork. Bake on a greased cookie sheet at 425°F for 20 to 30 minutes until golden brown.
